My experience includes all aspects of probate of estates, trusts, and guardianships and conservatorships, including filing petitions, counseling on available powers, litigating contested cases, and handling appeals through the appellate courts. 

My background includes the appeal in In Re: Guardianship and Conservatorship of Jeraldine Pates, 823 N.W. 2d 881 (Minn. App. 2012), in which the Court of Appeals found the district court exceeded its authority in a guardianship case while establishing that the state statute required cost bonds for all conservatorships with at least $10,000. 

My experience includes over 30 years as court-appointed attorney, serving as appointed counsel for individuals by the Hennepin County Probate Court.  I am an invited speaker and a member of the Minnesota Association for Guardianships and Conservatorships and Elder Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association.
